How to test Bandizip Professional features before purchase

Bandizip Professional Edition includes advanced features like Repair Archive and Password Recovery, but these may not work as expected on all files due to some limitations. We strongly recommend testing these features using the Standard Edition free of charge before purchasing.

Testing Repair Archive

To check recoverability of a corrupted ZIP file:

1. Open the window for Repair Archive, and load the ZIP file.
2. Click the "Test Repair" button.
3. If a list of files appears, some data may be retrievable.
4. If the list is empty or an error appears, data repair is likely not possible.

ZIP files only. Other formats are not supported and will trigger an error.

Testing Password Recovery

In the Standard Edition, Bandizip can attempt brute-force recovery of passwords up to 4 digits.

1. Encrypted headers (e.g., in 7Z or RAR files) cannot be processed and an error will appear immediately.
2. If the file loads, Bandizip will attempt recovery up to 4 digits.
3. If unsuccessful, a message will state that only up to 4 digits can be recovered in the Standard Edition.

Refund Policy Reminder

According to our license policy, Bandizip is considered used once activated. Refunds are not provided for features that were testable in the free edition. Please evaluate the features thoroughly before purchase.
